Betting tips 2 March 08

betting tipsNot a great day yesterday as even though most of the results went as expected the odds were not showing value and hence we went against a number of favourites including Chelsea and Man U.  Birmingham did as expected and beat a triumphant Spurs.  It’ll be interesting to watch Spurs over the rest of the season to see if Ramos can raise them.

Just 2 games today.

Bolton v Liverpool.  Neither side is showing great form.  Liverpool have something to prove but that really hasn’t spurred them on before.  Bolton hover over the drop zone.

Even with surprisingly wide odds on Bolton the algorithm funds lay Bolton pricing them at around 8 for the win.  Liverpool are also layed as a draw is hoped for.  I am going for a home win in the Trading Fund.

Everton v Portsmouth. Pompey continue to impress with recent wins against Sunderland and Bolton in the league.  Only Chelsea have won more away games than Portsmouth.  Everton are on great form and will have to be mis-firing to be beaten at home.

The algorithm funds fancy the Pompey odds but the model does not back away teams - probably due to lack of consistent returns.  Both therefore just lay Everton at evens which isn’t expensive.  The Trading Fund lays both - what is it with these draws?
