Excellent fun watching the relegation race and the goals go in one by one yesterday. Birmingham were 2-0 up at home to the mighty Reds, whilst Fulham were down 2-0 away at Man City and Bolton up 0-1 away at Spurs. Then it was musical chairs and all change. Fulham somehow stormed back to win 2-3 away, Birmingham lost their lead to draw 2-2 and Bolton held on to a 1-1 result at Spurs. Meanwhile Sunderland secured their place in the Premier League and ensured Boro were left hanging by scoring a late winning goal to make it 3-2 to the Black Cats.

The best is yet to come however as Fulham play host to Birmingham next week. Unless you have a wedding or a funeral booked already I throughly recommend you spend 2 hours watching the tos and fros next Saturday. If you do have a Church do on and it’s not a close relative you could always claim you never liked them, would feel a fraud going and make your excuses.

Seriously though, we still have 5 teams in the battle for the 2 remaining places in the best football league in the world! Sky Sports will always turn up the excitement as well so make sure your clear your bowels before 3p.m..

Oh, and of course, the title still hasn’t been decided yet either!

Everton v Aston Villa. Everton have been going off the boil whilst Villa have been getting hotter. Villa are 15-1 goals scored-conceded in their last 3 games. Okay so the opposition wasn’t great but it shows how well they’re playing. Everton also faced Derby and Birmingham recently and only managed a 1-0 win and a draw.

Portsmouth v Blackburn. Pompey may have taken their foot off the pedal recently with some poor results but their home record still looks good against Blackburn’s away record.
