1. What’s the idea of the website then?
The site gives access to our betting tips on the Premier League and Championship. These tips are currently free but are likely to be restricted to a subscription by payment service next season. The tips are calculated using our in-house developed algorithms.
2. All sounds great, but how do I access these tips?
Follow the page links at the top of the page to either Premier League tips, Championship tips or Trading Fund tips. If you’re not already logged in, you’ll be presented with a page asking you to login or register. Register your details and you will gain access to the tips pages by clicking on the link to ‘Visit site’ at the top of the page. Your email address is only used for registration, we don’t sell it, send you any emails, etc.
3. OK, so I can see the tips now but what does it all mean?
The tips are displayed in date order. As matches are played the result is added in the far right hand column. Before each game the tips are released. The table displays odds and stakes for the home, away and draw selections. The odds are the odds taken from Betfair at the time the bets are calculated.
The ’stake’ is the percentage of your betting fund recommended as a stake. If the stake is positive, e.g. 2%, the bet to place is a back of the selection equal to 2% of your fund. If the stake is negative, e.g. -1%, the bet stake to place is a lay bet of the selection equal to 1% of your fund.
If you win your back bet you win your stake times the odds, e.g. 2% of a £100 betting fund at odds of 3 would win £2 stake x odds 3 = £6. A profit of £4 (£6 winnings less your £2 stake). If your selection does not occur, you lose your back bet of £2 above.
If you win your lay bet, you win the stake, e.g. -1% of a £100 betting fund at odds of 3 would win £1. This is because in a lay bet when the selection doesn’t occur the odds don’t matter. It’s only when a lay bet loses, i.e. the selection does occur that the odds matter; e.g. -1% of £100 betting fund at odds of 3 would pay out £3. This is calculated as 3 x £1 staked. This is a loss of £2 being the £3 payout less the £1 stake.
4. And the Fund pages…what are they about?
The Fund pages show the financial result of placing the bets we recommend on our betting funds. The Funds are actually private betting funds which members have joined. The members’ monies are pooled and bets placed according to the tips.
5. I subscribed on the front page by adding my email but I don’t receive any tips!
Correct, but that’s because the front page subscription is to the website posts. It’s not a subscription to the tips. We do not send the tips out by email. You need to register and log in to see the tips. See question 2 above.
